From a slightly different perspective and in oil, the house in the woods, Loch an Eileen, Scotland.

Every year we go to Aviemore in the Highlands, Scotland. We always visit Loch an Eileen, where this wonderful house is. It has so much charm I had to paint it but I wanted to get different paintings by painting it in different mediums, so here it is in pastel.

St Peters & Ponte Sant Angelo, The Vatican, Rome. I love the colours that appear at dusk when street lights are just coming on it makes for a very interesting painting particularly when you can reflect the lights in water.

Not my usual style but my friend and artist John Mackie said he would be interested to see my interpretation of this photograph he took in an Italian church. I must say although it was challenging I really enjoyed doing this pastel study Thanks John.
This is the pastel study of the the Brooklyn Bridge as promised.

Brooklyn Bridge

Hi everyone I have been working on some new paintings based on my visit to New York last year. I love the view of Manhatten including the Brooklyn bridge which we walked whilst we were there. I have completed one image in oil and the other in pastel. As I was doing two paintings of the same subject I have tried to vary the colour and mood of each one. The one above is the oil, I will post the pastel as soon as I have it photographed. Hope you like them Zoe.
